Campamento de Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum es uno de los más bellos desiertos del mundo, gracias a sus rojizas arenas, y sus impresionantes montañas de arenisca con zócalos basálticos. Se encuentra al sur de Wadi Musa (Petra - Jordania - ) y muy cerca del Mar Rojo.

El hechizante escenario de las aventuras de Lawrence de Arabia. La forma más habitual de explorar este bello lugar es en un todoterreno, conducido por algún beduino. La dureza del viaje bien merece la pena por sumergirse en aquel mágico mundo.

Wadi Rum is one of the most beautiful deserts in the world, thanks to its reddish sand, and its striking sandstone mountains with basalt bases. It can be found to the south of Wadi Musa (Petra – Jordan -) and is very close to the Red Sea.
The captivating setting for the adventures of Lawrence of Arabia. The usual way to explore this lovely area is an off-road vehicle, driven by a Bedouin. The harshness of the journey is worthwhile in order to submerge oneself in that magical world.

Durante el postprocesado le apliqué un filtro TLR E6-C41, un ajuste de curvas y una máscara de enfoque.

During post processing I applied a TLR E6-C41 filter, curve adjustment and an unsharpen mask.

TLR Cross-Processing: Filtros de Procesado Cruzado

TLR Cross-Processing son un grupo de acciones de PhotoShop que nos permiten simular interesantes efectos artísticos que en la era analógica se conseguían modificando/combinando productos químicos durante el revelado de los negativos.

Podéis ver el resultado obtenido tras la aplicación de este grupo de acciones en Campamento de Wadi Rum.

TLR Cross-Processing are a group of actions in PhotoShop which allow us to simulate interesting artistic effects which in the analogue age were achieved by modifying/combining chemical products while developing the negatives.

You can see the result which I obtained after applying this group of actions in Campamento de Wadi Rum.

Soportales del Patio de los Naranjos

Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba: Una vista del Patio de los Naranjos desde el interior de uno de los soportales que lo rodean. Los soportales proporcionaban sombra a los fieles.

Mezquita-Cathedral of Córdoba: a view of the Patio of the Orange Trees taken from under the arcade surrounding it. The arcade provides shade for the faithful.

En el postprocesado le apliqué un tratamiento duotono con el color #7a6a16 al 65% de Opacidad.

During post processing I applied a duotone treatment with the colour #7a6a16 at 65% opacity.

Retrato de uno de los famosos leones que flanquean la puerta principal del Congreso de los Diputados en Madrid.

Los leones se añadieron en abril de 1872, siendo construidos por Poncio Ponzano con el bronce de unos cañones tomados al enemigo después de la Guerra de África de 1859-1860.

A portrait of one of the famous lions which flank the main door to the Parliament building in Madrid.

The lions were added in April of 1872. They were made by Poncio Ponzano using the bronze from canons taken from the enemy after the 1859-1860 African war.

Manolete

Hace poco me enteré que Adrien Brody, ganador del Oscar por “El pianista“, se meterá en la piel del mítico diestro cordobés. Penélope Cruz dará vida a su gran amor, Lupe Sino, a las órdenes del holandés Menno Meyjes.

Esta fotografía pertenece a una serie dedicada a los más carismáticos rincones, detalles y monumentos de la ciudad de Córdoba. Este monumento en memoria de Manuel Rodríguez ‘Manolete’ (1917-1947), se encuentra frente a la Iglesia de Santa Marina.

I recently found out that Adrien Brody, the winner of an Oscar for “The Pianist“, will play the mythic bullfighter from Córdoba, ‘Manolete‘, under the direction of Menno Meyjes. Penelope Cruz will play the love of his life, Lupe Sino.

This photograph belongs to a series devoted to the most charismatic corners, details and monuments of the city of Córdoba. The monument, in memory of Manuel Rodriguez ‘Manolete‘ (1917-1947) , can be found opposite the Church of Santa Marina.

Efecto Sin City

Son varios los amigos que me han dicho que Barco de Recreo les sugiere la estética del famoso comic Sin City (popularizada recientemente por Bruce Willis).

Bueno, respondiendo a varias peticiones intentaré explicar como obtuve ese resultado:

1.- Abrir imagen con PhotoShop.

Several friends have mentioned to me that Barco de Recreo suggests to them the style of the famous comic Sin City (recently popularized by Bruce Willis).

I will now explain how I achieved that result:

1.- Open the image in PhotoShop.

2.- Convertimos a blanco y negro utilizando la acción Ilford Delta 400 Pro & 3200

2.– Convert to a black and white image using the Ilford Delta 400 Pro & 3200action.

3.- Capa/Nueva capa de ajuste/Curvas.

3.– Layer/New adjustment layer/Curves.

4.- Capa/Nueva capa de ajuste/Curvas.

5.- Con el pincel y color frontal negro oscurecemos las zonas que quedaron demasiado sobrexpuestas.

5.– With the brush and black frontal colour darken the areas which are too overexposed.

6.- Creamos una nueva capa. Pulsamos Ctrol+Shift+Alt+E, de esa manera combinaremos todas las capas visibles en la recien creada capa.
7.- Duplicamos la capa (Ctr+j).
8.- Filtro/Desenfocar/Filtro gaussiano. Radio 6.
9.- Reducimos Opacidad de la capa a 35%.

6.– Create a new layer. Press Ctrol+Shift+Alt+E, so combining all the visible layers with the recently created one.
7.– Duplicate the layer (Ctrl +J)
8.– Filter/Defocus/Gaussian Filter. Radius 6.
9.– Reduce Opacity of the layer to 35%.
