10.09.2006 Las bellotas son los frutos por excelencia de Sierra Morena. Las proporcionan las encinas, los alcornoques y los quejigos. Existe la bellota amarga (Quercus ilex subsp. ilex) y la bellota dulce (Quercus ilex subsp. ballota).
Es un fruto seco, apreciado en las regiones de Extremadura y Andalucía, donde su uso principal es la alimentación del ganado porcino.
También son aptas para el consumo humano, que se puede tomar crudo o tostado a la brasa. También se elabora un rico licor destilado de este fruto.

Sierra Morena. They are produced by the holm oak, the cork oak and the gall oak. There are two types of acorn: the bitter acorn (
Quercus ilex subsp. ilex) and the sweet acorn (
Quercus ilex subsp. ballota).
It is a dry fruit, appreciated in the regions of Extremadura and Andalusia, where they are mainly used as foodstuff for pigs.
They are also suitable for human consumption and can be eaten raw or toasted over a barbecue. A delicious spirit is also distilled from this fruit.

18.04.2006 En las pequeñas distancias la profundidad de campo se reduce tanto que se convierte en el verdadero problema a resolver de la macrofotografía.
En este caso utilicé unos tubos de extensión acoplados (20mm+12mm) y para poder utilizar una abertura pequeña, con la luz natural de la tarde, decidí incrementar la ISO a 500.
At short distances the depth of field is reduced to such an extent that it becomes a real problem to be solved in macro photography.
In this case I joined two extension tubes together (20mm + 12mm) and in order to use a small aperture, using the natural evening light, I decided to increase the ISO to 500.
En el postprocesado le apliqué un ajuste de la saturación del color y una máscara de enfoque.
In post processing I applied a colour saturation adjustment and an unsharpen mask.

Mientras encuadraba, pensé que el formato panorámico le vendría muy bien a esta escena.

Whilst focussing I thought that a panoramic format would favour this scene.

I was looking for a ground level shot to achieve a greater depth of image.

01.04.2006 Los campos se engalanan con flores silvestres y los prados adquieren los colores más seductores. En el hemisferio norte ya podemos disfrutar de la primavera (en el sur comienzan a caer las hojas de los árboles a caer, pues se encuentran en otoño).
Wild flowers decorate the fields and the meadows acquire the most seductive colours. In the northern hemisphere we are already enjoying our spring.
