Después de derribar el Antiguo Estadio de «El Arcángel», situado a unos 500 metros de su ubicación actual, y donde el Córdoba Club de Fútbol jugó durante muchos años, incluidos sus 8 temporadas en Primera División, se construyó un nuevo estadio, con el nombre oficial de «Nuevo Arcángel«, en el año 1993. Contaba con pistas de atletismo, capacidad para algo más de 15.425 espectadores y unas dimensiones del terreno de juego de 100×68 metros.
En el 2005 comenzó una una remodelación completa ya que las instalaciones eran insuficientes para una ciudad y un equipo con aspiraciones importantes en el fútbol. Además, la visibilidad era muy deficiente por la distancia entre terreno de juego y graderíos. Al finalizar el año, se había terminado la nueva grada de preferencia, que tiene una capacidad de 8.000 espectadores en dos alturas (que serán dos anillos cuando el estadio esté terminado) y estando todos cubiertos.
Finalmente contará con unos 25.000 asientos, además de un edificio de oficinas, hotel, aparcamientos, zona comercial, etc.
Estas tomas la realicé el pasado jueves por la tarde mientras el se desarrollaban los entrenamientos del equipo local con la Nikon D200 y el objetivo ojo de pez Peleng 8mm.
After pulling down the old
Archangel Stadium, situated some
500 meters from its position today, and where
Córdoba Football Club played for many years, including their 8 seasons in the Premiere Division, a new stadium was built in
1993 and has the official name “
New Archangel”. It has athletic tracks, a crowd capacity of
15,425 spectators and pitch measurements of
100 x 68 meters.
In 2005 a complete remodelling was begun as the installations were considered insufficient for the aspirations of the team. Also the visibility was limited because of the distance between the pitch and the stands. By the end of the year the new preference stand had been finished which has a capacity for 8,000 covered spectators at two different height levels (which will be two rings when the stadium is finished).
Finally it will have a seating capacity of 25,000 as well as an office building, a hotel, car parking, commercial area, etc.
These shots were taken last Thursday evening while the local team were training. I used a Nikon D200 and a Peleng 8mm fish-eye lens.
