El teclado QWERTY es una distribución de teclado, la más común actualmente. Fue diseñado y patentado por Christopher Sholes en 1868 y vendido a Remington en 1873.
Las máquinas de escribir mecánicas accionaban un pequeño martillo (que imprimía la letra correspondiente) al pulsar cada tecla. Si se pulsaban dos o más teclas a la vez, o muy seguidas, los martillos chocaban unos contra otros, y la máquina se atascaba. Por este motivo, ya las primeras máquinas de escribir incorporaban este teclado, que está diseñado para minimizar las posibilidades de que esto se produzca escribiendo en inglés.
The QWERTY keyboard is the most common keyboard distribution at the moment. It was designed and patented by Christopher Sholes in 1868 and sold to Remington in 1873.
Mechanical typewriters move a small hammer (which prints the corresponding letter) when each key is pressed. If two or more letters are pressed at the same time, or almost together, the hammers collide with each other and the machine becomes blocked.
For this reason, the first typewriters incorporated this keyboard layout, which is designed to minimize the possibility of blocking when typing in English.

Ahora Dove en su Campaña por la Belleza Real ha hecho público un impresionante video que muestra la manipulación que se produce para conseguir transformar un rostro de una chica normal en una super-top-model-woman por medio del maquillaje, peinado, iluminación, retoque fotográfico digital…

Now Dove in its campaign for real beauty has published an impressive video which shows the manipulation involved in order to transform the face of a normal girl into that of a top-model by means of makeup, hair style, lighting, digital retouching…

Aplicar una Textura

Un retrato realizado con el 50mm al que posteriormente le apliqué una textura de tierra cuarteada.
A portrait taken with the 50mm to which I later applied a quartered earth texture.
Para llevar a cabo esta técnica, sólo tenemos que añadir una capa con la imagen/textura que deseamos aplicar en modo Superponer sobre la imagen original. Luego podemos borrar con la herramienta Borrador las zonas sobrantes.
In order to carry out this technique we only have to add a layer of the image/texture that we want to apply in Overlay mode to the original image. Later we can eliminate any excess areas with the Eraser tool.
Efecto Joey Lawrence

En septiembre publicamos una entrevista al canadiense Joey Lawrence. Hace poco dzoom publicaba un estupendo tutorial en el que se explicaba la técnica empleada por Joey para crear esas imágenes con aspecto “grunge“.
Esta técnica se basa en una acción de PhotoShop llamada Draganizer, creada por Sharon Lee Core.
Básicamente la técnica sigue los siguientes pasos:
1.- Abrir la imagen.
2.- Ejecutar la acción Draganizer.
3.- Seleccionar un pincel suave, Opacidad 10-15% y Flujo 65-80%.
4.- Con el Color Frontal Negro aplicar pequeños trazados sobre las zonas que deseamos iluminar.
5.- Disminuir la Saturación de la imagen de un 40-15%.
6.- Aplicar un ajuste de Contraste/Brillo.
Para ilustrar esta técnica vamos a emplear una fotografía del escocés Piotr C, titulada Street chillout.
In September we published an interview with Canadian Joey Lawrence. A short time ago dzoom published a great tutorial in which they explained the technique used by Joey to create his “grunge” like images.
This technique is based on a PhotoShop action named Draganizer, created by Sharon Lee Core.
Basically the technique consists of the following:
1.- Open the image.
2.- Execute the Draganizar action.
3.- Select a soft brush, opacity 10-15% and flow 65-80%.
4.- With a black fore colour apply small strokes over the areas which we want to illuminate.
5.- Reduce the saturation of the image by 40-15%
6.- Adjust the contrast/brightness.
To illustrate this technique we will use a photograph taken by Scot Piotr C, titled Street chillout.

La Fotografía Social es una modalidad fotográfica que no practico mucho porque la creatividad del autor se ve muy limitada por diversos y complejos factores, pero en este caso quise hacer una excepción con mi querida amiga y compañera de viajes Mamen, pues el pasado día 23 de junio se casaba con una extraordinaria persona, en un bellísimo rincón de España: Zahara de los Atunes (Cádiz).
Tras la cena, mientras los novios abrían el baile con la romántica balada I’m Ready de Bryan Adams, obtuve esta fotografía haciendo uso de un teleobjetivo 300mm con el Nikon SB-800 en la modalidad flash lento.
After the meal, while the newlyweds danced to the romantic ballad “I’m Ready” by Bryan Adams, I took this photograph using a 300mm zoom lens and the Nikon SB-800 in slow flash mode.
