Una Tarde de Verano

Una calurosa tarde de verano circulaba en mi coche por una desierta carretera secundaria atravesando la campiña andaluza y al encontrarme este panorama detuve el coche en la entrada de una finca. Al bajarme del vehículo pude escuchar el canto de las cigarras (chicharras) machos, llamando a las hembras para formar una pareja reproductiva. Aunque hacía un calor brutal creo que mereció la pena inmortalizar ese instante.

En una ocasión leí unas declaraciones de un maestro de la fotografía (creo que Robert Cappote) en las que aconsejaba no dejar pasar una, es decir, cuando “vemos una foto” debemos hacerla. Quizás nunca volvamos a tener otra oportunidad para sacarla. Por cierto, creo que este consejo debería figurar en el Decálogo del Fotógrafo.

One hot afternoon in summer I was driving along a deserted secondary road taking me through the Andalusian countryside when I saw this scene. I stopped the car at the entrance to a country house and as I got out of the car I could hear the sound of the male cicadas (cicalas) calling out to the females. Although it was very hot I think it was worth the trouble to immortalize that moment.

I once read the comments of a master photographer (I think it was Robert Cappote) in which he advised us to not let even one pass; in other words when we see a photo we should take it. Perhaps we will never have another opportunity to get that shot. I think this piece of advice should be included in the article Photography Rules.

Durante el postprocesado apliqué un ajuste de curvas por zonas, la técnica descrita en el artículo Paisajes Dramáticos y utilicé múltiples capas de ajuste superpuestas de tipo Filtro de fotografía. Para este tipo de retoque digital es muy recomendable el uso de una tableta digitalizadora.

During post processing I applied a curve fit by areas, the technique described in the article Dramatic Landscapes and I superimposed multiple adjustment layers of the Photography Filter type. For this type of digital retouch I recommend the use of a graphics tablet.

Curioso juego de colores en el cielo, algo que no había visto hasta ahora. Parece como si al fondo en el horizonte un volcán está eruptando y a la vez tenemos un cielo de tormenta! Unas tonalidades que me gustan mucho; también me llama mucho la antención el árbol junto a la caseta, forma parte de ese juego de colores anteriores y sobre todo me gusta la pedazo de sombra que lanza hacia el campo!
Realmente muy muy bonita!

Precisamente es lo que me pasó a mi ayer.
Dejé la casa de una amiga sobre la 1:30, tenía los ojos pegados y debía atravesar toda la ciudad. Pero al pasar por el puente “de hierro” no pude resistirme.
Bajé y me puese a disparar.

Lástima que no tenga yo tan buen ojo, y tan buena pericia.
